Seasonal Schools & Member Driven 
Initiative Events in Signal Processing

The IEEE Signal Processing Society invites all SPS Members to collaborate with their local Chapter in submitting a proposal for a Seasonal School, Forum, Regional Meeting, or Chapter Initiative event scheduled between April 2025 and September 2025.

We are pleased to offer financial support of up to US$2,500 for virtual events and up to $3,500 for physical events, subject to application approval, to assist in offsetting the costs associated with organizing these initiative workshops and conferences.

Seasonal Schools

  • Provides specialized background on select signal processing topics
  • Work with professors & established practitioners through virtual tutorials & applications
  • Build meaningful collaborative relationships

Forums

  • Networking events with topics of interest to industry members.
  • Panel sessions & presentations or lectures by industry experts
  • Content should be created based on industry interest & cannot include papers for publication.

Regional Meetings

  • Local, high-quality technical events, such as workshops or small conferences that serve the local or regional community
  • Regional meetings target themes of interest to SPS members.
  • Can include conference paper publications

Chapter Initiatives

  • Interactive events for specialized background in signal processing
  • Chapter-centered events for practicing engineers
  • Chapter meeting featuring industry executive(s)
  • Outreach to students interested in signal processing
  • Design competitions or other ideas

2025 Cycle 1 events are those that will be held between April 2025 and September 2025

There are no extensions or exceptions for late or incomplete submissions.
